Council Meeting Notes: November 9th, 2008

Minutes
Talked with Mrs.Boehmer who stated Brooke would not be continuing on the council. 

Discussed as a council replacement vs. finishing year with one less council member.

Council decided unanimously to elect a junior high member to replace the position.  

Hannah recommended Allegra Wicker as nomination.  Discussed nomination as well as other junior high teens as possibility. It was a unanimous vote that Allegra Wicker would be asked to take Brooke’s place as junior high representative. (Kelly Tatum will speak with allegra about this.)
 
Events
Turkey Bowl:
Discussed best date for this event. It was decided December 7th, Sunday from 12:30-3:30. Teens will be encouraged to attend acting up club performance in the evening. NO MINISTRY TEAMS.
 
Christmas Banquet:
Christmas banquet will be held on December 20th at 6:30pm.
Cost is $5. Yankee Swap: Gifts should be $5 or under.
For teens and teen workers
Emily Palombo to make posters for advertising.
Kelly Tatum to ask Julie to put in bulletin.
Jon grimm to ask Rev. David Snyder to speak
Hannah Drake working on program.
Jen Verwer is cooking.
 
Caroling: December 17th
 
Raking leaves on November 23rd will be open to anyone in the church.
 
Father/Son, Mother/Daughter Event:
Mother/daughter, father/son event postponed due to many conflicts in schedules.

New Year’s Eve Lock In: Jon grimm will be asking how many teens can come to this event? Will only be held if at least 15 teens can come. Will need to get more adult chaperones for event. Not just Chuck.Unfair to have him be at every one, up all night….need help with it.
